Axelspace Holdings has announced a downward revision of its consolidated revenue and total revenue forecasts. This adjustment reflects a recalibration of expected financial performance in the near term.
Axelspace Holdings has significantly lowered its consolidated revenue forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2024. The company now anticipates revenue to be between ¥2.3 billion and ¥2.5 billion, a substantial decrease from the previously projected ¥3 billion to ¥3.5 billion.
Similarly, the total revenue forecast has been reduced, now expected to range from ¥2.3 billion to ¥2.5 billion, down from the earlier estimate of ¥3 billion to ¥3.5 billion.
The primary driver for this downward revision is the delay in the launch of the GRUS-1D satellite, a key component of Axelspace's revenue generation strategy. The satellite's launch, initially planned for fiscal 2023, is now rescheduled for fiscal 2024.
This delay directly impacts the expected revenue streams for the current fiscal year.
The company is also experiencing a decline in its recurring revenue, attributed to customer churn and a decrease in the average revenue per user (ARPU) in its Earth observation data services segment.
Despite these challenges, Axelspace Holdings has reiterated its operating profit forecast for the fiscal year, maintaining it at ¥100 million to ¥200 million.
This indicates that the company is managing its expenses effectively to offset the revenue shortfalls.
The revised forecasts highlight the financial sensitivities within the satellite and Earth observation data sector, particularly concerning launch schedules and customer retention.
